May 6: Let’s Get Dirty! A Messy Sensory Experience

Join us on Wednesday, May 6 for the third workshop of the 2026 Professional Learning Series!

Our favorite ECE friend, Rachel Giannini, will be back in action for an engaging, hands-on nature workshop designed for early childhood educators. Participants will explore a variety of interactive learning centers using natural materials, discovering practical ways to incorporate nature-based play and exploration into everyday classroom experiences. This workshop emphasizes creativity, sensory learning, and developmentally appropriate strategies to inspire young learners through the natural world.

Please note, Rachel would like you all to bring a few nature items you may find on a walk, on or near the playground, or at your home. Try to find 3-5 objects that can fit in a lunch-sized paper bag.

Each attendee will receive supplies to bring back to their classroom, courtesy of the Montgomery County Early Childhood Coalition.

This session is available for 50 attendees; please only register if you truly plan to attend so that we can offer this training to as many teachers as possible. We kindly ask that each person attending complete a registration form. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Lisa Walter, Early Learning Director, at lisa@mccf-in.org or 362-1267.
