March 19: The 4-Step Approach to Difficult Conversations with Families

Communicating with empathy and positive regard can be difficult, especially in an unbiased way. Positive family partnerships are essential when fostering a mutually respectful and trusting relationship. Our friends from Spark Learning Labs will demonstrate how to use a four-step approach that supports adult composure, empathy, positive intent, and problem solving to support relationship building with your families when having difficult conversations.

Each attendee will receive a supply kit with supplies for their classroom and complementary dinner provided by the Montgomery County Early Childhood Coalition.

This session is available for 60 attendees, please only register if you truly plan to attend so that we can offer this session to as many teachers as possible. Please complete a registration for each person attending. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Lisa Walter, Early Learning Director, at lisa@mccf-in.org or 362-1267.
